Hailing from Caracas, Venezuela, pianist Alfredo Ovalles' constant evolution and artistic openness make him a musician difficult to categorize.

In the course of his career, Alfredo has explored classical and electronic music, and roamed the field of contemporary music. His curiosity for the new and love for experimentation make him stand out, and have led him to many musical places off the beaten track.

Alfredo is in demand as a soloist and chamber musician internationally. Engagements have taken him to Belarus, Germany, Poland, Romania, Spain, and the Dominican Republic, among others, performing at wonderful venues including the Berliner Philharmonie, the Wiener Konzerthaus, and King’s Place in London.
He had the pleasure of performing not only solo recitals but also together with orchestras such as the Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra in Gdańsk, the Orchestra of the Academic and Musical Theater of Minsk, Belarus and the National Symphony Orchestra of the Dominican Republic.
He has performed at some of the most prestigious festivals in Europe, such as Wien Modern, Transart Festival in Bolzano, and the Warsaw Autumn Festival.

Alfredo is proudly a Bösendorfer Artist.

With Aion Techni Alfredo Ovalles performed the premiere recording of the Rapsodia No. 2 per pianoforte by composer Giacomo Cataldo.
